The Stake Primary Presidency challenged each Ward Primary to take part in the 30 Day Service Challenge. When each child did an act of service, the Primary gave them a heart to put on the wall in the Primary room. They were supposed to write their name on the heart and also include what they did for service. As of May 1st, the wards in the Evergreen Building had posted 120 hearts on the Primary Wall. Most service completed was wonderful, simple acts that blessed the lives who received the service. If we took an average of 15 minutes for each heart, that would be 30 hours of service. Good job - awesome job.

I was able to participate in the Easter Journey to the Cross production put on by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.I played Abigail and was in Peter's denial scene. (I also got to push the remote button for the cock to crow after Peter's denial!) It was great to associate with other Christians in remembering Christ's last week. The director was awesome, he had such a great love of Christ. There were about 250 people in the cast with another 150 people who supported the production. They estimated that 3,000 people attended. It was a fantastic experience - this production is done annually and I would invite you to attend next Easter.

Our Young Women group painted and assembled 10 bird house kits that will be used by Habitat for Humanity as table decorations at their annual fund raising event in May. After the luncheon, the bird houses will be auctioned off to help raise additional funds for Habitat. This effort is part of a Faith in Action committee that several churches in the committee belong to. There were a total of 60 bird houses completed by youth in these churches. We had to let the paint dry and then do some more touch ups and then Emerson (the son of one of our leaders) helped assemble them.
